Eye of the Dragon

Does learning only happen through the body or does it go way beyond ?

Most of the time, learning happens though the body, the positioning of the body, reproducing a given gesture. The problem with this kind of practice is that every step we make, we’re going to stay focused on our posture.

In that way of learning our attention is focused on our physical part and nothing else.
Although, what we need to work on goes way, way beyond this, because our body must not react exclusively on a pysical level but on an energetic level as well.

In my own experience as a practioner I was often asked :

How do you manage to learn techniques so fast ?

I’ve been thinking and looking to understand how I proceded.

The answer was visible to the naked eye : perceive things in the energy, feel them from within and then exteriorise them through the gesture.

When you’re listening to music, you let yourself be submerged by what it provokes within you emotionally, you don’t take it not by note, you don’t wonder what materials were used to make the instruments, you’re just listening and and letting the sensations flow within you.

When I watch the one who’s showing me a technique, I dive into him in order to feel his movements from within him, so I’m able to feel them from within myself.

It’s a bit like my being was fading into the other’s in order to feel what he’s doing. You could say this is similar to recording a video in order to watch it later.

魂 Tamashi  Soul / Spirit

In Aunkai, exercices have been developped into that direction, feeling from within, each and every exercice works on the connexion to the other, as well as the feeling of the force the other is going to put on you in order to control it.

It is a work that requires inner listening, to be open to what’s coming to you.
We all have this natural capacity to feel things energetically.

When I started doing energetic healing, after the end of session I would find myself subject to pains.

By trying to figure out where they came from, I realized, that intuitively, I was diving within the person in order to understand what was going on there and would keep the energetic print, and traces of the pain I had healed with it. Energeticians know how to dive within the energy of the other, they also learn to free themselves from it.

This perception of the other allowed me to learn techniques but not only. Since you can feel the movements from within, i twill be easier to predict and even anticipate them, being connected to the other, you will sense his gesture before he even begins to move.

The Randori gains all its value in the deeper study of that perception.

The more your body will be free because free of any wait, the more it will be capable to move and learn how to move.

Tanren and Kunren, it’s the work of the musician tuning his instrument and working his scale in order to play the symphony about to be announced.

Randori is the music piece improvised by the musicians, this spontaneous chord that is born within the head of each musician and matches intuitively with that of the others, the one that allows us to verify our progression.

What’s essential is invisible to the eyes
